Formlabs | Clear Cast Resin

$149.00

Clear Cast Resin is engineered for investment casting, allowing direct printing of patterns ready for investment and casting. It delivers ultra-low thermal expansion, minimal ash, and is free of heavy metals.

When combined with latticing software, Clear Cast Resin (Form 4) is especially well-suited for larger parts, excelling with geometries thicker than 3 mm.

frequently asked questions

What makes Clear Cast Resin suitable for investment casting?

It offers extremely low thermal expansion and clean burnout with low ash and no heavy metals.

What printing accuracy can I expect from using Clear Cast Resin?

Patterns typically stay within 0.25 mm of the original design.

What post-processing and burnout steps are required for Clear Cast Resin?

After washing and curing, you attach the pattern to a casting tree, shell it, and run standard burnout schedules (e.g. 700-900 °C) without needing specialized changes.

What thickness or geometry limits does Clear Cast Resin support?

It is ideal for parts thicker than 3 mm and works well with lattice/hollowing techniques to reduce material and burnout stress.

Which printers is Clear Cast Resin compatible with?

It works with SLA printers like Form 3, 3B, 3L, 3BL, and newer Form 4 series models.
