Formlabs | Fuse Blast Polishing Media

$349.00

Fuse Blast Polishing Media is made of specially formulated plastic beads designed for the Fuse Blast system to produce smooth, semi-gloss, dye-ready SLS parts. Unlike abrasive or chemical methods, it compacts the surface for a clean finish.

Built for longevity, it lasts over a hundred Blast cycles and resists the breakdown common with glass media. Larger in size and propelled at higher pressures than standard glass media, it ensures consistent, high-quality results.

Purpose / Function

Specially-formulated plastic beads used in the Fuse Blast system to smooth SLS printed parts by compacting the surface (rather than abrading) for a smooth, semi-gloss, dye-ready finish.

Compatibility

Designed for use with the Fuse Blast Polishing System (and compatible Fuse Series SLS printers such as the Fuse 1, Fuse 1+ 30W)

Media Lifetime

Designed to last for over 100 blasting cycles (no breakdown observed) when used under recommended conditions.

Usage Note

Requires correct media size and blast pressure (≥ 60 psi) to achieve intended finish; not recommended for very delicate features due to higher-energy impact.
