Formlabs | High Temp Resin

$199.00

High Temp Resin offers a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 238 °C at 0.45 MPa — the highest among Formlabs resins.

It is ideal for producing detailed, precise prototypes and end-use parts that demand exceptional thermal stability, including molds and inserts, components exposed to hot air, gas, or fluid flow, as well as heat-resistant mounts, housings, and fixtures.

frequently asked questions

What makes High Temp Resin different from other materials?

It delivers the highest heat deflection temperature among Formlabs resins—up to 238 °C @ 0.45 MPa—for high-heat applications.

What are typical applications for High Temp Resin?

Ideal for molds, inserts, heat-resistant housings, and parts exposed to hot air, gases, or fluids in automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing.

What post-processing is required to achieve full performance with High Temp Resin?

A two-stage cure is recommended: Form Cure for 120 min at 80 °C followed by thermal post-cure (e.g., 3 h at 160 °C) to reach maximum HDT.

Is High Temp Resin suitable for flexible or snap-fit parts?

No — it has low elongation (~3.3 %) and is designed for rigid, heat-stable parts—not for flexible or dynamic applications.

Which printers and layer thicknesses are compatible with High Temp Resin?

Valid for Form 3 and Form 4 series printers, supporting layer thicknesses of 25 µm, 50 µm, and 100 µm for precision and durability.
