Tough 2000 Resin V2 is a strong, stiff material similar to ABS, offering excellent toughness, heat resistance, and creep resistance. It performs well in heavy-duty applications, producing functional prototypes and end-use parts that resist cracking, deformation, and long-term wear.

With 79% elongation at break and a 70 °C HDT, parts stay durable under mechanical and environmental stress. The updated, darker matte formulation improves detail and overall appearance.

Built for the Form 4 Series, Tough 2000 Resin V2 delivers 3× higher fracture toughness along with better temperature resistance, longevity, and aesthetics than the previous version.

Is post-curing required for Tough 2000 Resin V2?

Yes—post-curing is required for optimal mechanical properties. For example the datasheet shows tested parts were printed and then cured at 80 °C for 120 minutes.

What are the limitations or things to watch out for when using Tough 2000 Resin V2?

It’s not optimized for ultra-thin features or living hinges. Also tank wear can be different when switching between “engineering” resins and standard resins — check tank reuse policies.
