Purpose

These pigment bottles are specifically designed to be used with the Color Kit’s Color Base resin cartridge to create custom-colored resin formulations for SLA 3D printing.

Volume

Each pigment bottle contains 115 mL of pigment solution.

Usage

To create a new color, follow one of the 16 tested recipes or a custom mix: add exactly 100 mL of pigment (combination of the bottles) into the Color Base cartridge, then shake vigorously for ~4 minutes.

Printer Compatibility

Compatible with Formlabs SLA printers including Form 3, Form 3B, Form 2, and often with Form 4 series when used with the correct resin tank.

Resin Tank Compatibility

Requires compatible resin tank versions (e.g., Form 3 Resin Tank V2.1) and proper build platforms as listed.

What are Formlabs Color Pigments used for?

Can I mix color pigments directly into other Formlabs resins?

No. Pigments must only be used with the Color Base Resin. Mixing them into other resins (like Clear or Tough) may cause curing issues or print failure.

How much color pigment do I add to the Color Base?

Use 100 mL of pigment mixture (from one or more bottles) per Color Base cartridge, following one of the 16 tested color recipes or your own custom blend.

Are the color pigments reusable across multiple cartridges?
