FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is INTAMSYS PEKK filament?

PEKK (Polyetherketoneketone) is a high-performance polymer in the PAEK family, known for its exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and high-temperature capability.

What applications is INTAMSYS PEKK best suited for?

PEKK is ideal for aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, and medical industries where heat resistance, chemical durability, and dimensional stability are critical.

What are the recommended printing conditions for INTAMSYS PEKK?

  • Nozzle temperature: 340–380 °C
  • Bed temperature: 120–160 °C
  • Chamber temperature: 70–120 °C
  • Enclosure: Strongly recommended for thermal consistency.

Is INTAMSYS PEKK moisture-sensitive?

Yes. PEKK is hygroscopic and must be stored in a dry environment. Pre-drying before printing is essential for the best results.

How does INTAMSYS PEKK differ from PEEK?

PEKK has a slower crystallization rate, which makes it easier to print and less prone to warping compared to PEEK, while offering similar high-performance characteristics.
