Alumina 4N is a Form X material built for expert users, offering a high-density, high-purity technical ceramic. It delivers exceptional performance in extreme environments—thermally resistant, mechanically strong, chemically inert, hard, and abrasion-resistant.

Alumina 4N Resin has a shelf life of 3 months at room temperature, which can be extended by up to 12 additional months when refrigerated (-10–4 °C). Refrigeration is strongly recommended.

Please read the Alumina 4N Quick Start Guide before proceeding. If this is your first time using a Formlabs 3D printer, we strongly recommend using a general purpose resin, such as Clear Resin, before printing with Alumina 4N resin.

All SLA 3D printed parts need to be washed to remove excess resin. The Form Wash L automates this step, delivering consistently smooth, clean, and high-quality results.

After the wash cycle, parts are automatically lifted out of the solvent to air dry, preventing over-soaking and reducing the risk of warped prints. A built-in solvent monitor ensures optimal cleaning performance by alerting you when it’s time for a solvent change.

Form Wash L is compatible with all Formlabs SLA 3D printers. With the included build platform adapter, you can wash one Form 3L build platform or two Form 3 build platforms at the same time.

The Form Cure L V2 uses precise heat and 405 nm light to produce tough, high-strength parts with excellent speed and consistency. It can post-cure large Form 4L/BL prints in as little as 60 seconds, providing 5x more UV power, faster heat-up times, a 26% smaller footprint than the previous model, and capacity for parts up to 19% larger. Choose a validated preset for any of Formlabs’ 45+ materials or adjust time and temperature for custom needs.

Post-curing finishes the chemical reaction started during printing, improving strength, toughness, heat resistance, creep resistance, and surface hardness.

For biocompatible materials, post-curing is required to meet regulatory safety standards.
